This week we reprise one of last year’s most popular – if challenging – nights: soups celebrating the Valentine’s Day trifecta of love, lust, and hate.
Our soup cooks all come from the ranks of LTH Forum, who are promising an aphrodisiac tomato soup, Vietnamese rice soup with a beef heart meatball (!), potage de garbanzos/cocido andaluz (featuring saffron, the spice of love) and a whole lot more. This crew also always rounds up platters of desserts as well, so this is one S&B you won’t want to miss. (To read their deliberations, see the LTH thread here: http://www.lthforum.com/
Special guest DJ this week is Lady J, aka Jillian Matson. Bread courtesy Publican Quality Meats and Crumb Bread. Pay what you can donations benefit Casa Catalina in Back of the Yards. See you soon lovers. And lusters and haters.
PS! Speaking of love, we raised $857.15 in donations for the Chicago Help Initiative at Friday night’s Love is Love event at the MCA. Many thanks to Sheila Sachs, the Hideout, and all the volunteers who helped make this event such a success.
