Zuppa e Pane: Milano

We are still sorting out just exactly how this happened, but Soup & Bread is going to … MILAN.

On Friday, September 4, as part of  “Chicago Week” at Expo Milano 2015, Chicago chefs Jason Hammel (Lula), John Colletta (Quartino), and Matthias Merges (Yusho) are staging a S&B-style fundraiser at the culinary school founded by Italian chef Gualtiero Marchesi. It’s a benefit for the anti-hunger organization Pane Quotidiano, a 100+ year old initiative that distributes free food every day to hungry Milanese.

We so wish we could be there in person, but we’ll just have to make do with photos — coming soon. And if you happen to be in Milan next week, we’ll give you a signed crock pot if you send us a full report.
