Finally! We are coming back to Brooklyn and we are going to do it straight solid. So mark your calendars for the second, slightly-less-than-annual Soup & Bread: Brooklyn, on Thursday, November 17, from 6-8 pm at Littlefield, 622 DeGraw Street in beautiful downtown Gowanus.
Our host: The multitalented Elliot Aronow, of RCRD LBL and the blog Food Gold, with special guest DJ Ivan Berko, who “loves records like a chef loves an organic tomato.”
On the soup team!
My Friend’s Mustard
Cookbook author and Fine Cooking contributor Raquel Pelzel
Not Eating Out in New York‘s Cathy Erway
Saveur web editor Helen Rosner
Caroline Hahm
Dave Klopfenstein, of Dave’s Kitchen
and more to come …
All proceeds benefit the New York City Coalition Against Hunger, who’ll have folks on hand to answer all your questions. And of course Sheila and I will be there, loaded down with copies of the Soup & Bread Cookbook for sale.
So shout it from the rooftops and tell all your friends. Last year’s Bell House event was such a blast — with at least 200 people and more than $900 raised in donations — that it’ll be hard to top. But we believe in you, New York. Let’s do it!
